Mergence I

I created this piece as a series of works titled "Mergence".

Each one unique and specific to their own qualities and colours.

Mergence is an expression of transition and connection. What began as a pencil sketch on a piece of paper, transitioned into a wooden substrate to compliment with texture and colours. Where one element begins, the other one ends. Much like the passing of friendships, relations, and brief connection we may experience. This series expresses that flowing energy, a mergence, a transition, like a brief moment in time.

 Materials: ceramic, glass, mortar, on wood
