BEACH GLASS QUILT - We are Kerr Street

As part of Ontario Culture Days, join me for an unforgettable art making experience:

• October 5 from 11 am - 3 pm
• Kerr Village Square, Oakville Ontario
•  FREE

Together, we will use real beach glass, found on the shores of lake Ontario, to create a personalize mosaic square. Each square will then be assembled to create a temporary quilt serving as a symbol for protection and care for the Kerr Village neighbourhood.

As our community is in constant change and reinvention, we welcome this act as a way to maintain the value and integrity of this unique neighbourhood. 

Once completed, we hope to exhibit the quilt for all to view. Participants will then be welcomed to retrieve their own square as a keepsake. 

All levels welcome. No cutting tools will be used.

All ages welcome. Kids ages 7 and under will need supervision to create their piece.

Limited quantity of squares and glass.
